Flora Carta is a garden designer app where users create designs for gardens, orchards, and landscape projects.

This is an early release open to the public. While I will try to ensure there is no data loss, there are no guarantees or warranties.

What's new March 2026

Geometry reshaping tool allows snapping, including snapping to right angles. You can turn these settings off in the right bar.
Layers can now be locked to prevent selecting or moving objects on that layer

What's new February 2026

You can now delete and duplicate files
Color palettes
Geometry reshaping tool for basic shapes: Double click a geometry to reshape or add points
New scrub-style input to click and drag to change opacity and stroke width

What's new January 2026

This is the Alpha release of Flora Carta. Some features:

Creating plants and basic shapes, saving and loading designs
Auto-save and version restore history
All keyboard commands (copy paste, drag copy, undo/redo, etc)
Imperial and Metric units
Custom data fields for objects (check your settings page)
Profile views and browsing designs
